About Richard Smith (RS dynamics)

After working as an IT manager for a leading giftbook publisher for over 10 years, I project managed the installation of Navision's for the company, along with Navision's for both the USA and Belgium subsidiaries companies, with links via citrix. All 3 Navision projects were very success beacuse they all came on time and on budget, plus all with no additional downtime.

There was also some bespoke Navision projects including:

  • reps using handheld IPAQ's to send orders remotly with any double enties of data.
  • an auto-replenishment stock system.
  • A company unique production system.
  • QlikView (a reporting addon for Navision)

In 2007 I left the company and moved to Devon and became a Dynamics consultant, since then I have:

  • project managed an upgrade from Navision to dynamics Nav for my old company.
  • Worked with Microsoft Dynamics resellers on implementations.

I feel this gives me an advantage over most dynamics consultants, as I have worked on both sides and understand both the clients and supplies needs.

I am a member of the British Computer Society (BCS) which is the leading body for those working in IT (The essential requirement for profesional competence coupled with appropriate professional standards)
